What does it mean to have physical changes?
The period between childhood and young adulthood is a period of rapid change – physical, emotional and social. During this time, your bodies change in different ways at different times. No two teenage bodies are the same.
For girls, you might start to see early physical changes from about 10 or 11 years, but you can also start as young as 8 years or as old as 13 years. Physical changes around puberty include: Breast growth, changes in body height and shape, starting to get your periods and of course starting to see pubic hair.
For boys, physical changes usually start around 11 or 12 years, but you might start as young as 9 years or as old as 14 years. Physical changes include: penis and testicle growth, changes in body shape and height, erections and ejaculation, growth of pubic, body and facial hair and changes in your voice.

GIRLS
Growth of armpit hairThe growth of armpit hair will happen to every girl. When it does you will have to be prepared, so here is some advice;
always apply deodorant because you will sweat more and shave when needed. Pubic hairIn the early stages of puberty, the scrotum grows larger and you might experience some reddening of the skin and notice texture change in the scrotal skin. Pubic hair might start appearing at the base of your penis.

Pimples (everyone's nightmare)Pimples will happen to both girls and boys as it is just a result of your hormones acting up and causing fat to rise up on the surface of your face. Here is my advice for you ; wash your face regularly, and do not pop them!
BOYSChest HairChest hair will develop around the same time as all of your other pubic or facial hairs will. Like pubic hair it will grow thicker and curlier during age.

Pubic hairPubic hair is usually thick and black, but can occasionally also be lighter colours. Do not be afraid when it grows too fast because it is normal. If your pubic hair does grow way too long then you can start trimming it with scissors, then shaving.
Facial hairHair will start to grow under your arms and around the pubic area. This hair will be fine and straight at first, and will become thicker and curlier as you get older. You may also find more hair growing on your legs and arms. Hair will also appear on your chin and upper lip.
